Abstract

Design is a team effort in which groups of software agents and human designers work together. This paper presents an architecture of multi-agent cooperative design environment, design knowledge representation and learning algorithm. The purpose of investigation is to bridge the gap between existing AI-based design techniques and Internet techniques by focusing on supporting a team of designers each of with different intent, background knowledge, area of expertise and responsibility.
