Mathematical treatment of ocular aberrations : a user's guide
Atchison, David A., Scott, Dion H., & Cox, Michael J. (2000) Mathematical treatment of ocular aberrations : a user's guide. OSA Trends in Optics and Photonics Series, 35, pp. 110-130.
Abstract
We explain the nature of optical aberrations and how they may be represented
mathematically. We describe the use of Zernike polynomials in a way that will aid
understanding and provide potential tools for manipulating the wavefront aberration
expressions given in this form.

Citation countsare sourced monthly from Scopus and Web of Science citation databases.
These databases contain citations from different subsets of available publications and different time periods and thus the citation count from each is usually different. Some works are not in either database and no count is displayed. Scopus includes citations from articles published in 1996 onwards, and Web of Science generally from 1980 onwards.
Citations counts from the Google Scholar™ indexing service can be viewed at the linked Google Scholar™ search.
