DC-DC switching regulators have a nonlinear and time-varying nature. Any change in operating conditions leads to significant changes in dynamical model so that desired performance and even stability are lost. This fact together with the uprising need for high quality and high-efficiency regulators implies the requirement for modern and systematic approaches to the control of these systems. In this paper, to achieve satisfactory stability and satisfactory performance in DC-DC switching regulators, several nonlinear and linear robust control strategies are employed. Input-output feedback linearization as a suitable nonlinear control issue and Kharitonov theorem, H and M as three powerful linear robust control techniques are selected. The proposed controllers are compared to each other and conventional controllers. Computer simulations exhibit the high efficiency of these methods compared to conventional methodologies.
