This article reflects on the significance of the Asia Education Foundation's 2004 Linking Latitudes Conference held in Hanoi, Vietnam for a group of Queensland teachers and teacher educators. In doing so, it emphasises the importance of the Studies of Asia in the Australian curriculum and the need for Australian to be Asia-literate.
