The Application of wireless LANS in mine automation
Einicke, Garry, Duff, Elliot, Reid, David, Ralston, Jonathon, Cunningham, Jock, Hainsworth, David, Roberts, Jonathan M., & Corke, Peter (2002) The Application of wireless LANS in mine automation. In Proceedings Evans Conference - Creating the Virtual Enterprise, Sydney.
The objective of this paper is to provide an overview of mine automation applications, developed at the Queensland Centre for Advanced Technology (QCAT), which make use of IEEE 802.11b wireless local area networks (WLANs). The paper has been prepared for a 2002 conference entitled "Creating the Virtual Enterprise - Leveraging wireless technology within existing business models for corporate advantage". Descriptions of the WLAN components have been omitted here as such details are presented in the accompanying papers. The structure of the paper is as follows. Application overviews are provided in Sections 2 to 7. Some pertinent strengths and weaknesses are summarised in Section 8. Citation countsare sourced monthly fromand citation databases.
These databases contain citations from different subsets of available publications and different time periods and thus the citation count from each is usually different. Some works are not in either database and no count is displayed. Scopus includes citations from articles published in 1996 onwards, and Web of Science® generally from 1980 onwards.
Citations counts from theindexing service can be viewed at the linked Google Scholar™ search.
Full-text downloadsdisplays the total number of times this work’s files (e.g., a PDF) have been downloaded from QUT ePrints as well as the number of downloads in the previous 365 days. The count includes downloads for all files if a work has more than one.
