Optical Design of Intraocular Lenses. I. On-Axis Performance
Atchison, David A. (1989) Optical Design of Intraocular Lenses. I. On-Axis Performance. Optometry and Vision Science, 66(8), pp. 492-506.
Abstract
The theoretical effect of intraocular lens shape on on-axis performance of model pseudophakic eyes was investigated. Image quality criteria included the magnitude of spherical aberration (both wave and longitudinal), spot diagrams, and the modulation transfer function. For eyes with corneal asphericities encompassing most of the population (Q ≥ -0.5), the optimum lens form is close to being plano-convex, with the more curved surface facing the cornea.

Citation countsare sourced monthly from Scopus and Web of Science citation databases.
These databases contain citations from different subsets of available publications and different time periods and thus the citation count from each is usually different. Some works are not in either database and no count is displayed. Scopus includes citations from articles published in 1996 onwards, and Web of Science generally from 1980 onwards.
Citations counts from the Google Scholar™ indexing service can be viewed at the linked Google Scholar™ search.
