Currently we are living in an environment of constantly increasing changes in lifestyle, work patterns and technological advances, sometimes referred to as the ‘information age’. At QUT, Creative Industries Dance is creating a learning environment which we believe addresses these changes, through training ‘thinking’ dance practitioners. In adopting the motto of ‘the thinking dancer’ we have been proactive in merging theory with practice and emphasising crossovers between contextual studies and studio practice.
Impact and interest:
Citation counts are sourced monthly from and citation databases.
These databases contain citations from different subsets of available publications and different time periods and thus the citation count from each is usually different. Some works are not in either database and no count is displayed. Scopus includes citations from articles published in 1996 onwards, and Web of Science® generally from 1980 onwards.
