Abstract
Deviations from the rule and ambiguous types compel the assumption that a given phenomenon may be of diverse origin. It is only when an unexpected departure from the accustomed occurs that one feels the necessity of investigating the uniformity that had previously characterized the phenomenon or, at least, had seemed to do so (Tausk, 542).
