Adsorption of paranitrophenol on mono, di and trialkyl surfactant intercalated organoclays -a comparative study
Frost, Ray L., He, Hongping, Zhou, Qin, & Xi, Yunfei (2007) Adsorption of paranitrophenol on mono, di and trialkyl surfactant intercalated organoclays -a comparative study. Journal of Physical Chemistry Part C: Nanomaterials and Interfaces, 111(20), pp. 7487-7493.
Organoclays were obtained by the cationic exchange of mono, di and tri alkyl chain surfactants [hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide (HDTMAB0), dimethyldioctadecylammonium bromide (DDOAB), ethyltrioctadecylammonium bromide (MTOAB)] for sodium ions in an aqueous solution with Na-montmorillonite. The characterization of organoclays with and without adsorbed paranitrophenol was determined by X-ray diffraction, TEM and thermal analysis. Differences in the surfaces and in the interlayer of the mono, di and tri alkyl chain organoclays resulted in differences in the adsorption efficiency for paranitrophenol with tri > di > mono >> Na-Mt.
Citation countsare sourced monthly fromand citation databases.
These databases contain citations from different subsets of available publications and different time periods and thus the citation count from each is usually different. Some works are not in either database and no count is displayed. Scopus includes citations from articles published in 1996 onwards, and Web of Science® generally from 1980 onwards.
Citations counts from theindexing service can be viewed at the linked Google Scholar™ search.
