Little Red Riding Hood

Gattenhof, Sandra Jane (2016) Little Red Riding Hood. [Live Performance (Dance)]

Description

Little Red Riding Hood was the first original ballet for children commissioned by Queensland Ballet as the inaugural presentation in My First Ballet Series. The work premiered at Out of Box - festival for children 3- 8 years in June 2016. The work investigated notions of play and playfulness, children as problem-solvers, and children as experts.

Little Red Riding Hood did not adhere to the traditional narrative (Brothers Grimm) but drew on a number of versions of the story to develop a contemporary retelling of the tales that positioned Little Red (the lead character) as strong and powerful.

Citation counts are sourced monthly from Scopus and Web of Science® citation databases.

These databases contain citations from different subsets of available publications and different time periods and thus the citation count from each is usually different. Some works are not in either database and no count is displayed. Scopus includes citations from articles published in 1996 onwards, and Web of Science® generally from 1980 onwards.

Citations counts from the Google Scholar™ indexing service can be viewed at the linked Google Scholar™ search.
