Cumyl phenyldithioacetate and 1-phenylethyl phenyldithioacetate: Versatile ambient-temperature RAFT agents
Barner-Kowollik, C. (2001) Cumyl phenyldithioacetate and 1-phenylethyl phenyldithioacetate: Versatile ambient-temperature RAFT agents. Australian Journal of Chemistry, 54(5).
Cumyl phenyldithioacetate (CPDA) and 1-phenylethyl phenyldithioacetate (1-PEPDA) as versatile ambient-temperature reversible addition fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) agents were presented. The synthesis of both the compounds was proceeded by subsequent reaction of the resulting phenyldithioacetic acid with stryene and benzyl chloride with carbon disulphide. The compunds were found to have relatively poor radical stablizing ability and were well suited for controling styrene and 1-PEPDA polymerization at ambient temperature.

Citation counts are sourced monthly from and citation databases.
These databases contain citations from different subsets of available publications and different time periods and thus the citation count from each is usually different. Some works are not in either database and no count is displayed. Scopus includes citations from articles published in 1996 onwards, and Web of Science® generally from 1980 onwards.
Citations counts from theindexing service can be viewed at the linked Google Scholar™ search.
