Abstract

Propagation rate coefficients, kp, of N-vinylcarbazole in solution have been determined via visible light pulsed-laser polymerization over a wide temperature range (EA = 25.3 ± 5 kJ · mol-1, A = 1.0 × 108 L · mol-1 · s-1). The kp data set was used to deduce (average) termination rate coefficients via 1H NMR spectroscopic kinetic experiments and the corresponding Arrhenius parameters(EA = -8.5 kJ · mol-1 ± 8 kJ · mol-1).
