Abstract
This paper describes the goals of the Indigenous Early Years Family Support and Access Program of the C&K funded by the National Indigenous English Literacy and Numeracy program (2003-2006). The major strategy is to support 280 Indigenous families with young children aged 0-3 through the employment of Indigenous Home Support Workers in four regions of Queensland and specific approaches for Project Management. The paper outlines some of the issues, achievements and aspirations of the IEYFSAP, especially the maintenance of cultural relevance for the participating families and the Program staff.
