Abstract

A long term strategic plan for the SPAA/ASDA Documentary Council representing documentary producers and directors. The strategic plan examines the current state of the documentary production industry in Australia and overseas and compares the current level of demand with that of feature film. The reports examines the challenges and opportunities facing the sector from the growth of digital channels and digital production toolsets. Recommendations are made for strategies that would best position the industry to meet the challenges.
