Abstract

This is a transcript of an interview with Siva Vaidhyanathan which was published in the journal, Policy Futures in Education. Vaidhyanathan teaches at the New York University Steinhardt School of Education and is well known for his books, Copyrights and Copywrongs (2001) and The Anarchist in the Library: How peer-to-peer networks are transforming politics, culture, and information (2003). Some of the issues canvassed in the interview by Kapitzke include theories of copyright, the idea/expression dichotomy, and the inclusion of copyright in international trade relations.
