1. This is an institutional repository. 2. QUT ePrints accepts material
that relates to research output of Queensland University of Technology its
staff and graduate students, and archival material approved by the Library
Director. Examples of the types of material accepted for inclusion in the
repository journal articles, book chapters, conference papers, conference
posters, higher degree theses and unpublished research outputs. 3. Research
papers are individually tagged with their peer-review and publication status.

1. Anyone may access the metadata free of charge. 2. QUT ePrints metadata
can be harvested by third parties for purposes related to the discovery of
the archive's contents. The metadata may be re-used in any medium without
prior permission for not-for-profit purposes.
1. Items are available free of charge. 2. Copies of full items generally can
be reproduced, displayed or performed, and given to third parties in any format
or medium for personal research or study, educational, or not-for-profit purposes
without prior permission or charge, provided: (a) the authors, title and full
bibliographic details are given (b) a hyperlink and/or URL are given for the
original metadata page (c) the content is not changed in any way. 3. Full items
may be harvested by robots for data mining purposes. Where full items are harvested
permanently for re-exposure on the Internet, permission must be sought from Queensland
University of Technology. 4. Users are warned that most of the materials in QUT ePrints
are protected by copyright and any further dealings in the material may be an infringement
of the rights of copyright holders.
1. The aim of QUT ePrints is to provide a permanent record of the research
output of the University and to maximise the visibility, accessibility, usage
and impact of this research through open access. 2. Where possible, the repository
will include a digital copy of the research paper/work deposited by the author
or an authorised second party. For journal articles, the version deposited may
be the published version of record (if permitted by the copyright owner), the
author's accepted manuscript version or the version submitted for peer review.
3. Deposit of full items is encouraged at the earliest possible opportunity with
the option of an embargo facility to delay public visibility. 4. All deposits will
be assessed to ensure that they are within the scope of the repository and every
effort will be made to validate published works although responsibility for the
authenticity of deposits lies with the author. 5. Where possible, the repository
record will include a link to the publisher's website to facilitate access to the
version of record and to support validation.
Queensland University of Technology has a
commitment to retain items indefinitely in QUT ePrints. However,
the continuing existence of the repository cannot be guaranteed.
The QUT Copyright Officer will review all takedown requests. If
there is prima facie evidence of copyright violation then the
research paper/work in question will immediately be removed from
public view.
