Interior Design As Social Design - What? When? & Why?

(2006) Interior Design As Social Design - What? When? & Why? In Hortz, A, Smith, D, & Harrington, K (Eds.) EXIT- QUT Interior Design 2006. Queensland University of Technology, School of Design, Australia, Queensland, Brisbane, pp. 128-130.

Description

The media generally portrays what interior designers do as modelling the 'high-end' of the market and associated with this expensive—or the illusion of expensive—products, finishes, and spatial resolutions. In turn the skills of the interior designer may be misconstrued as being associated with trends and styles. So why and how do we take an active and meaningful role in moulding the environments of the twenty first century?

Search Google Scholar™

Citation counts are sourced monthly from Scopus and Web of Science® citation databases.

These databases contain citations from different subsets of available publications and different time periods and thus the citation count from each is usually different. Some works are not in either database and no count is displayed. Scopus includes citations from articles published in 1996 onwards, and Web of Science® generally from 1980 onwards.

Citations counts from the Google Scholar™ indexing service can be viewed at the linked Google Scholar™ search.
