Description
This project researched the nature of the aesthetic particular to Drama across three Queensland secondary schools. The purpose of the research was to gather evidence about how the aesthetic right be observed and actively engaged in different educational settings. The findings offer teachers suggestions about how the aesthetic dimension may be enhanced in the classroom. The work of John Dewey, Peter Abbs, and Paul Willis have provided influences from education, aesthetics and sociology to shape the outcomes of this research.
Impact and interest:
Citation counts are sourced monthly from Scopus and Web of Science® citation databases.
These databases contain citations from different subsets of available publications and different time periods and thus the citation count from each is usually different. Some works are not in either database and no count is displayed. Scopus includes citations from articles published in 1996 onwards, and Web of Science® generally from 1980 onwards.
