This article highlights the relationship between social change and educational and vocational guidance provision, and emphasises the theoretical and practical imperative to renew and refocus educational and vocational (career) guidance services. After describing the major influences on a changing educational and vocational guidance nature and provision, it describes a number of specific developments in Australia.
