Description

This chapter presents a case study that combines the charrette approach and academic discourse in a contemporary higher education setting. The case study focuses on the experience of 25 Master of Education students who participated in several mini charrettes in a unit of study entitled Designing Spaces for Learning. The mini charrettes occurred in 2015 and 2016 on-campus at Queensland University of Technology (Australia) and other educational sites. The findings support an evidence-based framework that aligns contemporary pedagogy, charrette process and academic discourse to inform innovative learning design in higher education, and the practice of educators in schools, libraries and other community settings.

Citation counts are sourced monthly from Scopus and Web of Science® citation databases.

These databases contain citations from different subsets of available publications and different time periods and thus the citation count from each is usually different. Some works are not in either database and no count is displayed. Scopus includes citations from articles published in 1996 onwards, and Web of Science® generally from 1980 onwards.

Citations counts from the Google Scholar™ indexing service can be viewed at the linked Google Scholar™ search.
