Description

Description:
An initiative created and developed by Dr. Naima Iftikhar, as the International Success Advisor under the International Sessional Academic Success Program by the Learning and Teaching Unit. There was a need to begin a positive conversation in the international sessional community by sharing stories of teaching practice success of the international sessionals in the Australian QUT context – so, Dr. Naima Iftikhar devised a productive way of creating a sense of belonging in this particular cohort in the form of a digital monthly magazine/newsletter edited by her and supervised by Ms. Michelle Fox and Prof. Jillian Hamilton.
Aims:
To celebrate and recognise the contribution the international sessionals bring to the success of the QUT students setting a precedent for the new sessionals and to build awareness of teaching practices across all faculties.
Activity description:
The pedagogical success stories were published under five major themes for the newsletter. Dr. Naima Iftikhar developed a format for the magazine editing to keep the format same for upcoming issues. The international sessionals received it through their QUT email inbox.
Target group:
The entire international sessional community across QUT which included more than 200 international sessionals at QUT.

Search Google Scholar™

Citation counts are sourced monthly from Scopus and Web of Science® citation databases.

These databases contain citations from different subsets of available publications and different time periods and thus the citation count from each is usually different. Some works are not in either database and no count is displayed. Scopus includes citations from articles published in 1996 onwards, and Web of Science® generally from 1980 onwards.

Citations counts from the Google Scholar™ indexing service can be viewed at the linked Google Scholar™ search.
