Description

This work encompasses 30 camera-based images; 17 curated from my in-the-field practice as a visual journalist and 13 in more controlled or studio settings. I created the in-the-field images to visually illustrate current events while drawing on news values and aesthetic principles. The studio images were created to visually illustrate specific photography concepts or attributes of cameras, lenses, or light. Associate Professor Keith Greenwood commissioned me, as a "highly accomplished photographer" to contribute 17 images from my in-the-field practice and to create another 13 specifically for inclusion in “Photocommunication Across Media,” which Greenwood co-edited with Professor Ross F. Collins. Following the peer-review process, Routledge published this text in 2018. The images and accmopanying text speak directly to “journalists, advertisers, and professional communicators who want to round out their toolkit without sifting through dense texts meant specifically for photographers and photojournalists.”

Search Google Scholar™

Citation counts are sourced monthly from Scopus and Web of Science® citation databases.

These databases contain citations from different subsets of available publications and different time periods and thus the citation count from each is usually different. Some works are not in either database and no count is displayed. Scopus includes citations from articles published in 1996 onwards, and Web of Science® generally from 1980 onwards.

Citations counts from the Google Scholar™ indexing service can be viewed at the linked Google Scholar™ search.
